Our free program, sponsored by the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation, helps the healthy sibling and family develop communication and coping skills as well as provides a fun, safe environment for the sibling to express their emotions.

Nationwide Children's Hematology, Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant's mission is for our patients to survive, and to continue living normal, healthy lives with their families. We treat the full array of blood disorders, cancers, immune-deficiency disorders, bone marrow failure syndromes and inherited metabolic storage diseases in patients ranging in age from neonates to young adults.

Our Chief of Oncology Shaves Head for Cancer Research

Tom Gross, MD, Chief of the Section of Hematology/Oncology/ Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) at Nationwide Childrens Hospital and a member of the Center of Childhood Cancer Research at Nationwide Childrens Research Institute, volunteers to have his head shaved in order to raise money for cancer research.
