At ChildLab, we constantly strive to strengthen and expand our role as one of the country’s leading pediatric reference laboratories. Our resources, combined with those of The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, enable us to collaborate on some of the most important and advanced projects in the country.

We’re developing new molecular testing programs for cancer, infectious diseases and neuromuscular disorders. And we’re one of the only three centers in the United States responsible for supplying tissue samples to The Cancer Genome Atlas Pilot Project funded by the National Institute of Health. We’re also the only laboratory in the country that houses neuroblastoma tumor samples used by research scientists around the world, and our Biopathology Center is the only center nationally that is responsible for housing acute lymphocytic leukemia samples for pediatric clinical trials.

Our Anatomic Pathology laboratories are highly specialized in pediatrics.  We are one of the few labs in the country that perform detailed testing in pediatric intestinal dysmotility.
